About us

In October 1998, it was felt that the Jain Community needed to have religious, social and cultural gatherings for the Jains of Perth and the first religious gathering (Satsang) was held in December 1998.

The Jain Community of WA Inc. was registered on 19 February 1999.

From March 1999, the monthly religious gatherings were held at Warwick Community Hall. Due to the increase in membership as a result of growing immigration from Kenya, the UK and India the venue for the monthly satsang was moved to the Vasto club in Balcatta. Currently, these monthly religious gatherings are held at Macedonian Cultural Centre, Balcatta.

The JCWA organises many social events like picnics, treasure hunts, bingo nites, river cruises, whist drives, entertainment evenings, telematch games, dinner and dance as well as religious workshops and youth camps.

The JCWA is built on the volunteers, who are tirelessly give their time since inception making all events successful and thereby building a stronger community.
